Overview of Hostel
Our hostel is centrally and conveniently located directly on the tram line, with the famous Queen Victoria Market just across the road. Most of Melbourne’s great attractions, sporting venues and restaurants are also within walking distance, making our hostel the ideal choice for any length of stay.
From Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport:
Star Bus Airport Shuttle takes you directly between Melbourne Airport and Elizabeth Hostel. It operates between 5:00 am and 7:00 pm 7 days a week and costs $18 per person. Telephone: 03 83788700.
Alternatively you can book Skybus which will take you to Southern Cross Station, operating 24 hours a day for $18 per person.
Taxis are also readily available from the airport. It will cost approximately $50 to our hostel.
From Southern Cross Train Station:
Local and interstate trains and buses run from/to Southern Cross Train Station. To get to our hostel from there, take any city loop train directly to Melbourne central station and get off from there then take Elizabeth St Exit. Walk Toward Victoria Market about 4 mins you will reach the destination, your Hostel, Elizabeth.
alternatively you can get on citycircle tram (Free Service) from Southern Cross Station and get off at Melbourne central Station then follow the direction as described above.
From Flinders St Train Station:
Take any tram down Elizabeth St to the Victoria Market stop..
Elizabeth Hostel is located in the heart of the CBD so you can save on transport costs and travel times. Only one minute from the Queen Victoria Market where you can buy fresh food and general living items very cheaply. Walking distance to Central location gives you greater chances to find a casual/part time job to start your work experience in Australia.
Conditions & Policy
1. A valid photo Id such as Driver's License or Passport is required upon check in. 2. Payment by Eftpos (VISA or Mastercard) will incur a 2% processing fee. 3. A bond is required when you make a group reservation. 4. Disable people are not recommended to stay as we are not wheelchair accessible. 5. We reserve the right to refuse checking in people with mental health or drug-use issues. 6. To ensure our customers enjoy their stay, we recommend people who experience heavy snoring to avoid staying in dorm rooms.
